In 1995 Roy left a safe career in computing and took a leap of faith to train as a teacher of The Alexander Technique. He had always enjoyed sport, teaching karate, playing cricket and running and therefore felt computing was not the way to continue.
After completing the three-year full-time course he qualified to teach this remarkable technique and set about applying what he'd learnt to sports training. He found many of the beliefs he'd previously held about training and fitness had actually caused the injuries that had plagued him throughout his sporting life.
Roy now coaches people from all sports how to improve the efficiency of their movement to reduce injuries and enhance performance. He has written three books based on his experience of working with hundreds of sports people and has become fascinated by what athletes call 'The Zone' - the sublime state where a peak performance actually feels easy!
Roy is available for interviews, talks and seminars - for details please contact me today.
